JST will livestream The Rev. Francis L. Markey Women in Ministry Speaker 2018 as the Tuesday evening presentation after soup supper.

Dr. Elizabeth A. Johnson, C.S.J., is regarded as one of the most influential theologians of the present day. She is Professor Emerita of theology at Fordham University and a Sister of St. Joseph of Brentwood, NY. Her scholarship addresses all aspects of the Christian faith and the life of the church from the standpoint of feminist, liberationist, and ecological concerns.

  • Thursday, Nov. 8, 5:15pm, will be a Liturgy of the Word and Communion Service.
  • If you are a liturgical minister, please sign up on the website for Tuesday liturgies. You can sign up for Wednesday, Thursday and Friday liturgies on the white board outside the sacristy.

JST Announcements
  • The Bridge Workshop, Introduction to High School Pedagogy with Shannon Vanderpol, scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 3, has been cancelled.
  • Workshops offered by the Office of Ministerial Formation: Please check out the events below on November 14, a Myers Briggs Workshop, and November 26, a Children’s Liturgy Workshop.
  • Lay Faith Sharing Group: In previous years lay students have formed student led faith sharing groups. Participating students found these groups to be important spaces for prayer and peer support. Interest has been expressed in forming a lay faith sharing group. If you are interested in joining such a group, please contact Mary Beth Lamb at melamb@scu.edu.
  • All are welcome to apply for the Camino Ignaciano Pilgrimage & Spring Course SP-2074. Applications and two-page essay are due Monday, November 12. Please see the links to the following:
