Campus Engagement
We held our 1st Annual Pedestrian Safety Event on May 14th, and it was a huge success!
The event brought important awareness to pedestrian safety and the responsible use of coasting devices on campus. Thanks to the strong turnout and positive engagement, we’re excited to continue this as an annual tradition.

Summer Permit Sales
Annual, semi-annual (summer/fall), and summer quarterly parking permits go live on June 15th. Please visit your AIMS account located in your MySCU Portal if you are interested in purchasing one of these parking permits.

Digital Temporary Parking Permits!
Starting in the summer, in addition to temporary paper hangtags, customers will have the option of using the mobile app or website to purchase temporary parking permits through AMP Park, managed through our AIMS system. This change does not apply to quarterly, semi-annual, or annual permit decals.
Permits include:
- Daily Hangtag Permit
- Visitor Permit
- Service Permit
- Contractor Permit
- Undergraduate Admissions Guest Permit
- Special Event Permit
- OSHER Hangtag Permit
Loading Permits are phased out and no longer available (vehicles parked in the loading zone will be monitored and cited if over the designated time)
Pay Stations will still be available until the transition is made to a digital format.
Vehicle Permit Limit
Each permit decal allows registration of up to two vehicles, but the physical permit must be transferred between vehicles when parking on campus.
A valid parking permit must be displayed at all times while parked on university property.
Oversized Vehicles
If you have an oversized vehicle, please avoid parking in the smaller surface parking lots on campus (e.g., Dunne Lot, North Alameda Lot, and Performing Arts Annex) or compact spaces marked as compact throughout campus. We will be citing oversized vehicles that are parked in these lots, if they are obstructing any part of their vehicle (front/back/sides) that creates a challenge for others to get in or around their vehicle.
Vehicle Storage
Please fill out the vehicle storage application if you intend to store your car on campus during the summer quarter. Vehicle owners are required to provide proof of auto insurance coverage, sign a release of liability, and provide car keys to Campus Safety, in case the vehicle needs to be moved for campus maintenance or in the event of an emergency.
