Get to know our LEAD Peer Educators!
During LEAD Week, our Peer Educators take the lead in planning the large group activities, and help with office tasks and program coordination.
During the school year, LEAD Seminar Peer Educators participate as peer educators in LEAD 1 and 2 in fall and winter quarters. They help facilitate LEAD Seminar through leading discussions, presenting information, and offering an older student perspective. The CTW Peer Educators are an additional academic resource our Introductory English classes in fall and winter quarter. They facilitate and contribute to classroom conversation, provide feedback on class work and lead study and review sessions when needed.
Alejandra Cobarrubia

Hi my name is Alejandra Cobarrubia. I am from Hayward, CA. I am a 4th-year studying Political Science. My favorite class I've taken at SCU so far has been Poli 168 Criminal Justice Reforms. A few fun facts about me are that I have a brother, I love ice cream, and my favorite drink is sparkling water. In addition to LEAD, some other organizations I am involved in are the Latine Pre-Law Sociedad (LPLS), and I work at Kids on Campus (KOC). I am looking forward to meeting all of you!

Hi my name is Andrea Pinedo Guerrero. I am from San Jose, California. I am a rising sophomore double majoring in Sociology and Child Studies. My favorite class I’ve taken at SCU so far has been my cultures and ideas philosophy class!
A few fun facts about me is I love working with kids, being around family and friends, and going to concerts!
In addition to LEAD, I am also part of Breakthrough Silicon Valley which is a program that supports low income minority students throughout their college applications and further more when starting college.

Hi my name is Catarina Baldizon. I am from San Francisco. I am a Junior studying Public Health with a minor in Entrepreneurship and Management. My favorite class I've taken at SCU so far has been PHSC 1: Intro to Public Health.
A fun fact about me is that my name means ladybug in Spanish.
In addition to LEAD, some other organizations I am involved in are the Youth Empowerment Program through the MCC, being a staff member at the SCU Library, and I a REAL recipient.

Hi, my name is Esme Valencia-Madrigal :) I am from Oakland, CA, and I’m a junior majoring in Accounting. One of my favorite classes at SCU so far has been ETHN 20 (Introduction to Latino and Chicano Studies) with Professor Anna Sampaio. Highly recommend!
A few fun facts about me: I am Mexican-American, I love listening to music in my free time, and this summer I will be interning at KPMG as a part of their Embark Scholars Program!
Outside of LEAD, I’m involved in a few other organizations: I serve as Junior Officer for the SCU Accounting Association, Treasurer for Clara Craft Club, Women in Business (member & mentor), Women in Investment (member), and I work at Kids on Campus.

My name is Estevan A. Rodriguez. I'm from Hollister, Ca. I am class of 2028 and studying Mechanical Engineering. My favorite classes have been LEAD Seminar (because of the people) and Math 14 (because of the calculus).
A few fun facts about me are that I love oil painting, I have one older brother and two younger sisters, and I ran Cross-Country all four years of high school.
I addition to LEAD, I'm also a student in SCU Honor's Program, a member of SHPE (Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers), and part of SCU Club Boxing.

Hi! My name is Genesis Sanchez and I’m from Phoenix, Arizona. I’m a sophomore majoring in Child Studies. One of my favorite classes I’ve taken here at SCU is CHST 4: Cultural Competence and Humility with Dr. Bookser. A few fun facts about myself is I love strawberry matcha and going to try different matcha places with my friends. My favorite color is pink and I love going on spontaneous trips.

Hey my name is Ivan Jauregui and I'm from Sacramento, CA. I'm a rising sophomore here studying Electrical & Computer Engineering. My LEAD CTW English classes have been my favorite classes so far.
As for a few fun facts about me, I've caught a piranha, carried an +100lbs anaconda, and have been sandboarding.
Aside from LEAD, I've been Freshman Representative and now Treasurer @ Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers. I also have participated in 4 hackathons hosted by either ACM or AIC. I'm planning on getting more involved with the Bronco SAE racing and IEEE this upcoming year.

My favorite class I've taken at SCU so far has been ENVS 122- Environmental Policy. The class engages real-life components of how to address climate change through a government lens. The final project was writing a policy memorandum and send it to governor or officer of choice.
