The LEAD Scholars Program provides current LEAD Scholars with leadership opportunities such as becoming part of the LEAD Week Staff. There are opportunities to lead a group of mentees as a Peer Mentor, actively participate in the first-year seminar courses with a seminar instructor as a Seminar Peer Educator, or the CTW courses as an English Peer Educator.

The LEAD Week Assistants are returning student staff members who support the professional staff in managing student staff and coordinating LEAD Week activities, including staff training, leading daily meetings, and ensuring smooth execution of the event schedule.

Hi my name is Adrian Pina. I am from Houston, Texas. I am a senior studying Finance. My favorite class I've taken at SCU so far has been Business Law.

A few fun facts about me are I love hiking and listening to podcasts, and my last name is pineapple in Spanish.

In addition to LEAD, some other organizations I am involved in are the Latino Business Student Association (LBSA), where I serve as Co-President.

Biography

Hello! My name is Cuitlahuac Ramirez and I am from San Jose, California. I am a third-year student studying Computer Science and minoring in Music! Some of my favorite classes I've taken at SCU so far have been CSCI 61 (Data Structures) and Musicianship 2; these were both interesting and engaging classes that I would recommend to any CS or Music-inclined students! A few fun facts about me are that I have one younger sister, my favorite color is green, and I like pineapple on pizza, as everyone should. In addition to the LEAD Scholars Program, some other organizations I'm involved in are the Multicultural Center on campus, where 16 culture clubs hold weekly meetings and fun events, and KSCU, our campus radio station, where any student can host their own radio show! I am looking forward to meeting all of you soon!

Hi my name is Franco Garcia. I am from San Jose, CA. I am a rising Junior studying Computer Science and minoring in Graphic Design. My favorite class I've taken at SCU so far has been ARTS 74 since I like working with photoshop!

A few fun facts about me are that I like going to concerts, playing volleyball, watching UFC, and I enjoy going to the gym.

In addition to LEAD, some other organizations I am involved in are the Ignatian Center for Jesuit Education and KSCU where I host my radio show!

Hello, my name is Jahir De Los Santos and I’m from San Jose, CA. I’m a rising senior majoring in Economics. My favorite courses so far at SCU have been ECON 113: Intermediate Microeconomics I and ECON 174: Applied Time Series Analysis. A few fun facts about me: I enjoy staying active outdoors (whether running, hiking, or playing soccer), I thoroughly enjoy listening to Latin & rap music, and my first time being abroad was in Barcelona. In addition to LEAD, I'm actively involved as a board member of the Latinx Business Student Association (LBSA), a scholar with the Peninsula College Fund (a first-gen scholarship), and an intern at Morgan Stanley. I am looking forward to meeting all of you!

Hi my name is Juana Melgoza. I am from Lamont, California. I am a Senior studying Marketing in the Leavey School of Business. My favorite class I've taken at SCU so far have been a Pilates Mat Class, Ceramics, and U.S Public Policy.

A few fun facts about me, I enjoy thrifting from my parents closet, thrift stores and from Buckys Closet! I love matcha, the color pink, and farm animals! I also LOVE the outdoors.

In addition to LEAD, some other organizations I am involved in are Latina Coalition of Silicon Valley, University Policy Committee for Student Affairs, and Alpha Kappa Psi.

Hi my name is Julia Benavides. I am from Meridian, Idaho. I am a rising Sophomore studying Communications. My favorite class I've taken at SCU so far has been my Ethnic Studies Class.
A few fun facts about me are that I'm a Folklorico dancer, I enjoy traveling, and I'm the youngest in my family.

Hi everyone! My name is Julissa Martinez. I am from Gilroy, CA. I am a Senior studying Political Science with a pre-law emphasis, along with Spanish and French minors. My favorite class I've taken at SCU so far has been POLI 160: Equality and the U.S. Constitution. A few fun facts about me are that my favorite color is yellow, I have lived all over California, and I have a twin sister. In addition to LEAD, some other organizations I am involved in are the Latine Pre-Law Sociedad and the Center for Student Involvement. I can't wait to meet you all!
