International Graduation Stoles

We're a global university, and we want to celebrate your accomplishments!

International Students with stoles of their country flags celebrating graduation

The academic attire worn at commencement is a formal demonstration of your academic achievements and affiliations while at SCU. In order to show the important contribution that international students make to our learning community and to highlight the pride that we feel being a global university, welcoming of students and scholars from around the world, the Global Engagement Office has started an initiative to purchase international graduation stoles for graduating international students.

The international flag stoles will be worn with your academic attire at your commencement ceremony and will symbolize the pride and accomplishments as a global bronco!

Academic attire (sometimes called regalia) is the formal clothing worn at commencement ceremonies around the world. A stole is a sash worn as a part of academic attire and is used to signify achievements or group affiliation / membership.

The stole will be made to look like the national flag of your country of affiliation.

You can view your country's stole here: https://www.visionwear.com/sashes.html
