Counseling Groups

Counseling groups are run exclusively by psychologists.  We offer a series of groups each quarter.  All groups are confidential and some require a pre-group interview.  To register for a group, visit COWELL CENTER | My Student Health Portal or call the front desk (408) 554-4501.

Workshops

All of our workshops are designed by psychologists.

Perspective
CAPS practices from a wellness perspective and supports the University's mission to develop the whole person.

Recommendations

CAPS recommends, especially for the fall quarter, programs dealing with adjustment and transitions, relationships (including alcohol and sexuality), body image, and diversity. These are issues that if addressed early on in the year can prevent more serious problems from developing.

The Cowell Center can also facilitate debriefings in a variety of settings following a campus tragedy, such as death of a student or death of a faculty member.
