What are you doing this summer? This summer, I interned for the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, an independent bureau of the U.S. Department of the Treasury. Throughout my internship, I worked on a variety of projects focusing on data analysis for the Office of Minority and Women Inclusion (OMWI). I delivered workforce data analyses for year end reports, prepared qualitative and data comparisons of annual reports for eight OMWI agencies, and produced a final report for OCC Chief of Staff highlighting bank activities that supported Minority Depository Institutions. I have gained a deeper understanding of the functions, operations, and key priorities of the OCC to safeguard trust in banking.
What has been the most memorable part of your experience? The mentorship I received from employees at the OCC was definitely the most memorable part of my experience. Everyone that I had a chance to meet with and/or work with was extremely kind and welcoming and I am so grateful for everyone who went out of their way to offer their support and guidance.
